If you’re looking for a way to get in shape without spending any money on a gym membership, bodyweight exercises are the way to go. These exercises use your own body weight as resistance, so they’re effective at building muscle and burning fat. Plus, they’re easy to do anywhere, so you can fit them into your busy schedule.

Five bodyweight exercises that will transform your body:

  1. Chair squat

Chair squats are a great way to strengthen your lower body. To do a chair squat, stand facing a chair with your feet shoulder-width apart. Slowly lower yourself down into a squat, keeping your back straight and your core engaged. Your thighs should be parallel to the ground, and your knees should not go past your toes. Pause for a moment at the bottom of the squat, then push yourself back up to standing.

  1. Bodyweight squat

Bodyweight squats are a more challenging variation of the chair squat. To do a bodyweight squat, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your toes pointing slightly outward. Slowly lower yourself down into a squat, keeping your back straight and your core engaged. Your thighs should be parallel to the ground, and your knees should not go past your toes. Pause for a moment at the bottom of the squat, then push yourself back up to standing.

  1. Straight-leg donkey kick

Straight-leg donkey kicks are a great way to strengthen your glutes and hamstrings. To do a straight-leg donkey kick, get on your hands and knees on the floor. Place your right foot on a bench or other elevated surface behind you. Keep your left leg straight, and slowly raise your right leg up and back. Pause for a moment at the top, then lower your leg back down. Repeat 10-15 times on each side.

  1. Forearm plank

Forearm planks are a great way to strengthen your core. To do a forearm plank, start in a push-up position with your forearms on the floor and your body in a straight line from your head to your heels. Keep your core engaged and your back flat. Hold the position for 30-60 seconds.

  1. Bicycle crunch

Bicycle crunches are a great way to work your abs. To do a bicycle crunch, lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Place your hands behind your head and curl your upper body up towards your right knee. At the same time, bring your left knee towards your right elbow. Pause for a moment, then slowly lower your body back down. Repeat 10-15 times on each side.

These are just a few of the many bodyweight exercises that you can do to get in shape. By adding these exercises to your routine, you can build muscle, burn fat, and improve your overall fitness.
